 May 2008

• Quaker House - May 2nd & 16th
• Pagoda Study Group - May 7th & 21st
• Family Day, Sunday May 4 at Tisarana, for families with children under the age of 13. Starts at 10:30, with dana. For more information, contact Vivienne at vbartlett@sympatico.ca.
• Vesak - May 17th at Tisarana. See below for details.
  

 June 2008

• Quaker House - June 6th & 20th
• Pagoda Study Group - June 11th & 25th
• Day of Mindfulness - June 14th, Ajahn Viradhammo will be the teacher. There will be a vegitarian Potluck Lunch at Noon.

 Vesak - May 17 at Tisarana:

Vesak celebrates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha and the sangha will offer readings and reflections on these throughout the day (generally more celebratory than meditative). 

   10:00 - Precepts & chanting. Meditation, readings & reflections.
   11:00 - Rice pindapat.
   11:30 - Shared meal.
   1:00 - Dhamma talk, readings & reflections.
   2:00 - Closing chanting.

You are then welcome to join the sangha for tea, continue meditating, go for a walk and generally enjoy the situation.

In addition to contacting Diane at office@tisarana.ca for ridesharing to Tisarana, you can contact Paul Moses at ottawadhammawheels@primus.ca regarding ridesharing for Vesak at Tisarana and for OBS events in Ottawa.

When emailing Paul, please include the following: your name, phone number, whether you are a driver or passenger, the area of Ottawa most convenient for you (east, central, west or south), and the date(s) and/or event(s) for ridesharing.
